Our story
Our Story
Founded in 2009 and named for founder Darius Anderson's firstborn son, Tyge William, the winery was born from a tenacious, adventurous spirit — and imbues every bottle with a ruggedly individual approach rooted in small-scale production and small vineyard parcels.
The wines are crafted by award-winning winemaker Don Van Staaveren, a Sonoma County veteran whose 1996 Chateau St. Jean Cinq Cépages was named Wine Spectator's Wine of the Year, bringing international attention to the region. He brings that same old-world intricacy to Tyge William's bold, flavorful wines.
From a Sauvignon Blanc sourced from a special Yountville vineyard to a flagship Cabernet Sauvignon grown on the hillside home vineyard just outside the township of Sonoma, every wine is built to be memorable. The tasting room sits right on the Sonoma Plaza at 144 West Napa Street.
